About the Author
Emily Guido is a new Paranormal Romance Author. She was inspired to start writing “Charmeine” because one day she got an idea of two characters who needed to have their story told. Not ever dreaming a week later she would have over a 100,000 words written. When Emily writes, it is similar to you or I watching a movie. She pictures the characters in her head going through vivid descriptions of each scene. There are so many nuances going through her mind that she cannot type fast enough.
Emily is currently editing the second novel, in “The Light-Bearer Series,” “Ransom,” soon to be published in May 2012. Currently working at a College full time, Emily is pursuing her Master of Business Administration full time also.

Synopsis:
Can romance develop between a heavenly Light-Bearer and a hellish vampire Blood-Hunter?
Tabbruis is a Blood-Hunter, he drinks blood to survive. Over millennia Tabbruis has wondered the Earth alone aimlessly living through many historical events.
Charmeine just
came to the Earth in 1997. Little did she know her destiny was to be Queen of all the Light-Bearers?
When Tabbruis meets Charmeine the attraction is immediate and passionate. They are polar opposites and clash together in a strongly romantic and dramatic way. When she meets Tabbruis, Charmeine’s powers as a Light-Bearer, one who throws lightning, is triggered and grows exponentially.
Charmeine and Tabbruis soon find out they were made by God for each other; however, on the day God cast Lucifer out of Heaven, they were split up by some mistake. Charmeine sacrificed herself to save her Tabbruis but they were sent to Earth as total opposites and in different times. Tabbruis never remembered Heaven, Charmeine or their child. Until he met Charmeine, he did not know he was the King of Darkness and destined to be her Husband on Earth as he was in Heaven.
Once Tabbruis and Charmeine proclaim their love for one another, they have to battle their way to freedom from the evil forces on Earth.

“Cross of Blood” Excerpt from “Charmeine” the First Novel in “The Light-Bearer Series”
One of my favorite scenes from the story!

Charmeine and Tabbruis hid in the bushes around the Formal Rose Garden. Both were not talking. Charmeine was lost in her reflection that a few months ago, her biggest battle was stopping little boys from fighting and telling children to pick up their Legos.
She thought while she was looking at Tabbruis their life would never be simple again even if they did go back to Long Island, so she could teach. She was with him now, and their life together had changed into a bigger design.
Charmeine was a Queen and Tabbruis was a King! Neither of them wanted it, but it had been laid on her by fate and God.
Self-doubt was starting to creep into Charmeine’s heart but she saw Tabbruis saying something to her and she snapped back into the moment. She said very quietly, “I’m sorry Tabbruis, I wasn’t listening, what?”
Tabbruis said again softly, “This waiting might be for several hours. Let us sit against the house and rest?”
Charmeine said, “Yes, that would be better.”
Charmeine and Tabbruis got up and walked a few feet and sat down next to the rose-bush crawling up the side of the Castle. She said, “It is a shame this battle has to take place here. This Castle has been like a home to me.”
Tabbruis looked at her and smiled, “You have only been here a few months.”
Charmeine nodded saying, “Yes but in those months I have learned so much and been through a lot.”
Tabbruis looked down and she saw him sighing becoming very solemn.
Charmeine continued, “No, you don’t know what I mean. I fell in love with you all over again on Earth. We were married here in this Rose Garden, and we have been a family here. Our wedding in this garden was a beginning for us, I know it. It isn’t the end. I learned and been through a lot because this is the road God has put us on.”
Tabbruis smiled showing his beautiful teeth and his broad chin and his dark green eyes even sparkled in the moonlight. He grabbed her and brought her close to him.
When Tabbruis spoke he looked as if he was going to cry, “Charmeine, no matter what happens tonight, we will always have our love. I will love you always as I loved you in Heaven. You, my Charmeine, are my prophecy. I have wondered the Earth looking for you for thousands of years. Now in this minute, a thousand more years can go by and never will I be happier than I am in this second. I am not a man or a blood-hunter, but a Husband who has waited for his Wife to come home into his arms.”
Tabbruis took her face and held her chin while kissing her deeply. Charmeine kissed Tabbruis back with all the hope and desperation she felt.
Charmeine pulled away from Tabbruis, she began to feel a little light-headed and said with a smile, “You mustn’t kiss me like that now Tabbruis. You make me dizzy.”
Tabbruis smiled and looked at her beautiful brown eyes and blonde hair saying, “You have the same effect on me too, my love.” He felt her brown sun-tanned skin on her cheek. Tabbruis gently put Charmeine’s head on his shoulder
Charmeine’s hand went over and picked a rose from the bush. As she did, a thorn pierced her skin, and she said, “Ouch.”
Charmeine’s finger was bleeding, and Tabbruis said, “Let me heal that for you.”
Charmeine said with a far off look, “No, not yet. Tabbruis, you know what my blood smells like right?”
He smiled dreamily of her luscious scent and said, “Yes, it is the sweeter to me than a garden of roses.”
She said, “I want to leave my scent with you Tabbruis.”
As if Charmeine was baptizing Tabbruis, she dripped blood on the back of his hands and made the sign of the cross on each of them. He smiled and felt like he had, in fact, been baptized by her love and smelled the back of his hands. He brought up her finger and put it in his mouth. His eyes went black with want. Charmeine seeing his desire felt it also.
Charmeine took back her finger and Tabbruis said, “I have never tasted anything sweeter than your blood.”
Charmeine smiled and said, “Just remember that my King. You may need reminding of that later.”
Tabbruis said, “Always, always,” and he kissed her gently.
After Tabbruis took the back of his hands and put them up to his nose smelling her scent and said to Charmeine again, “Always.”
My Review

Emily GuidoMy rating:
5 of 5 starsOMGosh I am loving this first installment immensely! Emily has created a world of LOVE going so deep, the hardcore romantic within me can totally feel the characters emotions.Thank you Emily Guido for following your heart and writing his beautiful story and for allowing me the privilege to Read~N~Review it.
This book spans from Heaven to Romania, it is filled with emotions that will make you laugh, cry, and feel all of it right along with the characters. I was so upset at one point I wanted to throw my phone across the room saying, “OH NO, she did NOT just do that.”
The characters and their backgrounds are amazingly portrayed in this uniquely refreshing story.
The world created is original, breathtaking and consistent. Imagine yourself on a secluded beach on the Black Sea with your soul mate, or being in the middle of a battle between good and evil. It is chock full of tasteful romance and tenderness.
I recommend this read to anyone who wants a truly amazing read.
LOVE is deep and if you believe with all your heart, mind, body, and spirit anything is possible. I want my own Tabbruis!!
